Shri Mallikarjuna (Mallikarjunam) - Shrishail

Mallikarjuna is located on the banks of the river Krishna, in the state of Andhra Pradesh on a mountain called Shri Shaila. Fort walls 6 meters high enclose this ancient temple. The temple faces the East was built in Dravidian style. The center mandapam has several pillars with a huge idol of Nadikeswarar. The temple sculptures narrate in stone the epics from the great Hindu epics Ramayana, Mahabharata. It has spacious courtyards with numerous statues and monuments.

How to reach?

Karnal station is situated between the two railway lines Manmaad-Kachigdda on Sikandrabad to Dronachalum which is 200 km away from Shrishail. Taxi and Buses are available to some distance. In the city dharamshalas are available. Nandyal is just 80 km before Dhronachalum on which there is a line Laulipasm-Hubli from where ShrishaiSl is 120 km away. Buses are also available from Tamilnadu to most famous city Gutter which is 215 km away from Shrishail. Buses are available from Tirupati to Shrishail.
