This Jyotirlinga is located at a village called, Bhuvanagiri in the Puna district of Maharashtra. This temple built in the Nagara style is surrounded by the thick forest of the Bhimashankar Wild Life Sanctuary. The temple located inside the main complex, with the Lingam situated at the top. Also found inside the temple are gorgeous carvings.
How to reach?
Bhimashankar is situated on a mountain at the river bank of BHIMA which is east of Mumbai and North side of Pune. First route goes through Delhi-Mumbai central railway line to Nasik road station from where buses are available to the temple which is 190km. Rest 30km distance can be covered on foot or bull cart or taxi.
