This Jyotirlinga is located at Devagiri near Ellora caves in Maharashtra. This ancient 18th century temple was built by Ahilyabhai Holkar, who also reconstructed other temples. This Shiva temple is rich, with beautiful carvings and exquisite architecture in red sandstone.

A central railway line from Kachiguda (Hyderabad) to Manmaad across 135 km away is Aurangabad station. From Aurangabad to Gushamesh is at least 25 km away where a village is called Verul closer to Shivalaya. Bus and Taxi services are available
